Poznań University of Technology is a renowned university with a well-established position and reputation, a leader of the European University "EUNICE." As a result of the evaluation of its scientific activity, seven scientific disciplines received category A, and two received the highest rating of A+. This is a reflection of the systematic, organic work of generations of people committed to building a strong University of Technology, including the significant reorganization in 2020.

Poznań University of Technology is a technical university with a leading international position, creating significant solutions to key problems of the modern world through the highest level of scientific and research-and-development work, and thus a university with a renowned quality of education. Today, to meet geopolitical challenges, intense competitiveness, environmental threats, and dynamically developing digital technologies, it is necessary to create new research areas. This ecosystem requires close cooperation with the socio-economic environment, because it is this environment that defines the current needs to which scientists must find answers, often stepping outside their "comfort zone" – only then can each of us give ourselves a chance for breakthrough discoveries.

Today, we present to you the document "Research and Development - Report 2022." This report contains a selected scope of scientific and development activities of individual units (Institutes) in 2022, constituting a key element of the structures of nine faculties of Poznań University of Technology. It presents the most important projects carried out independently or in collaboration with other academic, research, and industrial entities, as well as data on prestigious awards and distinctions received. We hope that such a document will be updated annually and will contribute to the building of interdisciplinary teams and further strengthen internal cooperation at Poznań University of Technology.
